Switzerland has some of the most beautiful cites and mountain scenes in the world but caution is also needed at times when visiting this beautiful country.

Today there was an Emergency Message for U.S. Citizens in Bern on Saturday the 21st.
A protest is expected to begin at 2PM Saturday and there are indications that it may continue into the evening. The protestors have obtained a permit to demonstrate at the Bundesplatz. However, there is a strong possibility that the protest will spill into other areas of the city.The police are taking steps to ensure they have the necessary resources to address any potential problems that might occur.

Traveling and security conditions in a foreign country can change from day to day and that is why having a security travel plan and resources in place is critical. If one of our clients was in Bern tomorrow we would have alerted them of the protest and have them avoid all areas of city that might be at risk. Some times this means moving activities to another day. If we had a protection detail traveling with the client then they would advise and assist in the schedule change as well as connecting with local intelligence officials for up to-date information.
